Children are teachers too!

The women’s day was approaching and being a women leader in the innovation area, i was asked to give a motivational speech on this day. It was quite exciting mixed with bit nervousness as it was easy to give a technical speech for me but a motivational speaker is accountable for much more. I started preparing for the speech at home, sometimes when Sameek was around. Out of eagerness, he asked “Mama do you have a show and tell in your office” You seems to be nervous about delivering the speech. Don’t worry, I will help you”, and he started motivating me saying, “When you go to the dais, you need to take a while to see the audiences and address them good morning (as it was scheduled in morning) with a smile“.
There is nothing to get nervous. You get to tell whatever you know. He also helped me how to modulate and pause on my speech. That day, I realised it is always said that mother is a great teacher for the kid but no one explored that the kid is also a great teacher to the mother too.
I received an achiever award on the women’s day and came home in the evening. I was bit tired and was resting when Sameek entered home after his tiring day too but he didn’t forget that i had a speech on the day. He hugged me and said, “Mama I know your boss must have given a smiley on your speech” 🙂 “
